It's been awhile but I used to have breakfast here on a regular basis! food is great and the owners are awesome.

I realize that this is an old motel , but they have a charge of $100/night. The rooms are dated which is ok but the mattresses need replacing. It's clean and has all the amenities though. Make sure you get there before 9 pm or it will close.

We're driving cross country from out west and this was a great location to stop before Thunder Bay(more pricy and often booked up) The price was right and they had a pet friendly room! Very accommodating and flexible family owned staff. Felt like a trip back in time...which is what makes road trips so fun! The restaurant was 10/10...food like mum and dad make and a great price point. Our server was a gem. The mum of the fam bakes all the baked goods that are loaded in the attached little conviennt store/shop...we stalked up for the next hawl of our trip. Definately a spot we'll be sharing with anyone driving through Western/Northern Ontario!

Stopped here on our way to Edmonton summer of 2024. We ate at the restaurant and were completely bowled over by the delicious food. My sister ordered a turkey club that I swear was 4 inches thick. I had the pierogies they were delicious . Super friendly owners are very proud of their restaurant and it shows, we stayed over at the hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Just make sure you arrive before they settle for the night after after all they are owner operators. Definitely worth the stop.

One of the few places you can get a big truck into and have a wonderful home cooked meal. People are top notch, great sense of humour:) Food is delicious, lots of little too go treats as well. Establishment is clean well maintained and you can tell owners put pride in all they do. Great job. Enough parking for a few big trucks so nice. Thank you so much for sharing your little gem with us

Stopped for a late lunch. We had cheeseburgers which tasted like a good home meal. The french fries were amazing and the portions generous. Finished with a perfect coffee and a delicious Portuguese tart. Very reasonable price. I recommend.

Located approx 1 hour west of ThunderBay on Hwy17, excellent food, great service, clean washroom and also has convenience items to purchase. The building is old but they keep it very clean and updated. Big parking area out front and also has a screened porch with tables. There is a motel adjacent but have no idea what the rooms are like. Well worth the stop for a great meal.

Delicious, filling breakfast for an unbeatable price every day. This seasonal kitchen has Great customer service and the food portion is generous! Visited again this week and this family owned business is top notch and the customer service is excellent. The cook came out after he was done and was chatting up his customers. The store attached has the essentials for people camping in the area, including some fresh vegetables and other items like milk and juices. The other thing to mention is that this kitchen delivers some pretty amazing desserts like pies . Mouth watering deliciousness. Will definitely visit again before the fall closure.
